Happy 4th of July, everyone! Hopefully, all of you have a great time with family and friends today! Enjoy all the American food you can get. Hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken wings, french fries and more! Make sure you keep it safe with the little ground fireworks, sky flyin’ fireworks and of coarse your own homemade fireworks. Have a bucket of water off to the side, just in case!

Vans Warped Tour.

We know, it’s been a while since our last blog post…and we apologize! We’ve been keepin’ it busy with the first couple dates of the Vans Warped Tour 2010. We had a tent set up at the first couple Cali dates of the tour, including Carson and Ventura. It was great to see so many familiar faces and meet many new ones!

Unfortunately, we forgot the camera once again, so bare with us on this wordy/semi-pictureless blog. We promise to remember the camera next time!

(A few pics I snagged from my cell phone). Here’s a pic below of me with Dan from Four Year Strong. Dan was super nice and too legit to quit! We told him about our new project Give Clothing Co. and he seemed pretty thrilled.

Early into the first day at Carson’s Warped Tour, I was lucky enough to run into Steve Van Doren(Owner of Vans Shoes). We talked for a few mins and he mentioned how he started Vans shoes with his father 44 years ago! Which is hands down amazing! Not to mention, living proof, that if you stick with something long enough you’ll eventually reach the top. Steve was kind enough to give me TWO FREE PAIRS of Vans, one for myself and a pair for Joel. Sad to say, near the end of our day, while we were loading the trailer, someone stole them from us…It was a total bummer. However, meeting Steve himself was pretty inspiring!

Setting up and hanging out on the tour, was pretty exciting. Each day was a new adventure and jam packed with surprises. We checked out and meet a ton of bands from Confide to Set Your Goals, Motion City Sound Track to Parkway Drive. I’d recommend that everyone start their own clothing company, just to experience life on the road and hanging out with friends! Be sure to check us out near the end of Summer, on the final few dates of the Vans Warped Tour. We’ll keep you posted!

Reading a blog the other day, I found this metaphor, describing how to bring your company more into existence. I thought it was a pretty neat way of looking at things, as well as a good strategy. Check it out below.

“When you want to catch as many fish as possible, use a large net and spread it as far as you can. The guideline to remember when building your profile is just one: keep working on sending visitors to your profile. People can only follow you when they know you exist.”

Cathing Up.

Pretty much, we’ve been catching up and getting back into the rhythm, since our last event at Sun God Fest 2010. Unfortunately, the memory card we brought to the event somehow got sun tan lotion on it and all the pics were lost…If we’re able to recover any pics or videos from the event, I’ll be sure to post thm!
Sun God happened to be a great turn out! With a majority of the crowd being college kids from UCSD and other colleges around, it was reasonable to believe that more than 75% of the crowd was either too drunk or rollin’ on E. Police and security were escorting messed up kids to the exit all day!
We meet up and hung out with a few friends throughout the day, some of which went to UCSD and check out a few of the bands, as well. The best performances of the day, I’d say were B.O.B., Michelle Branch, Reliant K and of coarse Drake. Hopefully we can get video footage uploaded soon!
Other than that we’ve been gathering inventory and preparing for this years Vans Warped Tour! We’ll keep you updated with more event dates shortly!

Sun God Fest 2010.

This Friday (May 14th), is Sun God Festival 2010. Featuring; Drake, Michelle Branch, Relient K, Thrice, Z-Trip and many more! Check out the flyer below for the full lineup.
Electro Beat Apparel will have a tent set up, selling all our merch. Come by and say “Hi”, hang out for a bit, party, take pics, and most of all buy some EB tees!

A little history on Sun God Fest. It has been around since 1990! With headliners such as; Blur, No Doubt, Social Distortion, The Aquabats, Cake, Mos Def, Bad Religion, Ludacris, Sean Kingston, My Chemical Romance, Third Eye Blind, T.I. and so much more.
Over the years, the festival has gone through many significant changes, but has always had great involvement and support from the student population. The venue has changed from its the old Student Center to Sun God Lawn to Mile High Field (pre-dating RIMAC) to the Price Center to Warren Mall!
Be sure to check out this event, and get dancin’. Huge crowds expected, so get there early!

It’s been a few months in the making, but it’s finally time to announce our new project Give Clothing Company. Give’s mission is simple; When you purchase an item from the Give Online Shop a new Give Clothing product will be given to someone in need, at no cost. It is our commitment and obligation, to provide those in need with items we take for granted daily.

Being in the business for a few years now, we wanted to change the way the clothing industry operates…Unfortunately, many people cannot afford to buy new clothes and can be stuck wearing what they have for quite some time or sadly to say, may not even have the money or resorces to wear clothes at all. Recently, we’ve teamed up with a couple of friends to start a whole new project, outside of Electro Beat. Electro Beat is still up and running, with Vans Warped Tour just around the corner and hopefully a spot at this year’s Sun God Fest taking place at UCSD. Confirmation for Sun God Fest will be given shortly, due that it is held May 14th! Be sure check back regularly for more details.

Other than Electro Beat, these past weeks we’ve been setting up meetings, getting out some creative ideas, working, preparing and building a new concept for this new and upcoming project. Without giving away too much info, we do believe this new project will definitely change the world, one step at a time. Creating an impact and revolutionizing the way the clothing industry operates. We’ll be sure to fill you in when the time is right and our new project is fully up and running.
